As a Personal Finance Coach & Insurance Advisor, I feel poor choices, past experiences, or lack of knowledge in personal finance should not keep us being a boss over our finances today. My personal experiences and choices with money were a reflection of my emotional past. I had unresolved abandonment issues due to being adopted. I made poor choices with men, alcohol and money because of the emptiness I felt on the inside. At my bottom, where I felt the most broken, I made a decision to LIVE and not DIE!!! I connected with a support system who helped me learn to LOVE myself and to forgive. This brought me closer to my source of spiritual power. I eventually lost 47 lbs which helped me heal my physical and look on the outside how I now felt on the inside. Then it was time to heal my pocketbook, my financial transformation.
I focused specifically on learning about life after bankruptcy, understanding credit, and credit repair, automating your finances, savings vehicles for the undisciplined, and more. My 9 years of working in the insurance industry and helping families acquire and then secure their assets (receiving several awards and accolades), constant research and self-study, plus healing my own finances is what I use to help others today.
I now walk in my purpose with my head high and I use my experiences as my fuel. I can relate to making poor financial decisions based on emotions, not having been taught the simple rules of generating wealth, and the feeling of just needing a second chance. My greatest passion is helping others reach their financial goals through second chance financial guidance. Personal finance is not common sense but it's not rocket science either. Finding someone you trust is key plus the willing to learn something new.
